Abstract
Ita

Moving from the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, the article interprets the crisis of the international order as an expression of the emergence of a multipolar configuration in which the universality of the rule of law is progressively giving way to power-based politics. In response to this transformation, the renunciation of war enshrined in Article 11 of the Italian Constitution and the principles of the United Nations Charter are invoked as the normative foundations of a project aimed at reconstructing an international order grounded in the primacy and universality of the rule of law, consistent with the principles of limited government, human dignity, and the subordination of force to law that are characteristic of modern democratic constitutionalism.
